Vintage Bellydance Costumes

Jean Leon Gerome’s “Sabre Dance in a Cafe”, also known as “An Almeh Performing with a Sword.” Sword dancing looks like it dates way back, but again, Orientalism. But the costume is lovely, and I”m very happy to provide a very detailed closeup!
